Polk State College Foundation Plan for Students: NESTS





Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Polk State College Foundation stands ready to help students with demonstrated financial need. These funds are a one-time award to give students the hand-up they need to enroll in Polk State through the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2021.

Through the NESTS Scholarship (Nipping Emergency Situations and Technology Shortfalls), eligible students may receive up to $500 for the 2021 Spring Semester based on need after Financial Aid and CARES funding is applied. NESTS funds can only be used to pay for tuition, fees, books or applied toward technology. NESTS scholarship funds cannot be utilized to help a student receive a reimbursement from the College.

To be eligible for the NESTS Scholarship, a student must:

  1. Apply for FAFSA and have additional need over and above FAFSA awards
  2. Have a minimum 2.0 GPA
  3. Provide a statement of need*
  4. Provide declared major*
  5. Provide career aspiration*
